While you’re online, you’ll receive an hourly reminder to take a break. It won’t interrupt your game or log you out.

Sometimes taking a break looks like temporarily restricting access to your account. Here are some tools to help:
Short-Term account lockout
Take a break by locking your PlayNow account anywhere from 24 hours up to 90 days.

Our Game Break program offers the ability to lock your PlayNow account and voluntarily exclude from casino facilities for anywhere from 6 months to 3 years.
How to set limits
How to set a weekly deposit limit
- In the My Account menu, click on My Budgets
- Under Budget tools in the Weekly Deposit limit section, click "Edit Limit".
- Set your limit and click on "Set Limit".
- Confirm your limit.
Note: Decreasing your limit happens immediately.
How to set a limit on your playing time
- In the My Account menu, click on My Budgets
- Under Time Management Tools in the Set a Max on your Playing Time section, select daily or weekly.
- Drag the slider to set the time.
- Click Set Limit.
- Confirm your limit.
Note: Poker does not affect your Max. The PlayNow Poker client and Poker app has its own time management tools built in.
How to set a limit on your losses
- In the My Account menu, click on My Budgets
- Under Budget Tools, in the Casino Loss Limits section, tap the ‘Edit Limit’ button.
- Pick between daily, weekly, and/or monthly options and enter your limit amount.
- Tap ‘Update’ to confirm your limit.
Notes:
- This tool will not track losses from lottery or sports betting.
- Decreasing your limit happens immediately. If you want to increase or revoke your limit, there will be a 24 hour cool off period before the change goes through.
- Once you reach your limit, you won’t be able to place wagers using your cash, tokens or held funds until the reset period.

Reset periods:
- Daily limit: midnight PT
- Weekly limit: Sunday midnight PT
- Monthly limit: last day of the month at midnight PT
How to set a short-term account lockout
- In the My Account menu, click on My Budgets
- Under Take a break in the Short-Term Account Lockout section, click on the field or calendar icon.
- Select the date you wish to play again.
- Click Start My Lockout.
- Confirm your lockout.
Note: If you choose to lock yourself out for 2 days at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday, you will not be able to access PlayNow.com again until 3:00 pm on Thursday. This lockout does not apply to Poker. The PlayNow Poker client and Poker app has its own Account Lock tool built in.
How to set Poker limits
You can easily set time and money limits directly within the Poker client and Poker app on the "Game Limits" tab. For more information about setting limits while playing poker, please read the Setting Limits page.
